StudyTree Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using StudyTree, creating an account, signing in with Discord, or using guest mode, you agree to these Terms of Service and the StudyTree Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

StudyTree is a personal learning tracker for planning self-study, logging progress, running focus sessions, reviewing learning history, and optionally using community features. StudyTree is currently an alpha product, so features may change, move, or be removed as the product improves.

3. Accounts and guest mode

• Account security: keep your password and login sessions secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Account information: provide an email address you can receive if you want support, export, or deletion help.
• Guest mode: guest data is stored in the current browser and may be lost if browser storage is cleared, the device changes, or guest mode is reset.
• Account requests: signed-in users can export data and delete their account in StudyTree. Email acatnight@gmail.com for correction requests or support.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of learning logs, goals, tags, skill trees, timer records, profile text, group posts, comments, and other content you add to StudyTree. You give StudyTree permission to store, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. Content you publish through community features may be visible to other users according to the feature and your settings.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use StudyTree for illegal activity, harassment, abuse, spam, impersonation, or attempts to harm other users.
• Do not probe, attack, overload, scrape aggressively, bypass authentication, or interfere with StudyTree infrastructure.
• Do not post content that you do not have rights to share, or content that is malicious, deceptive, or intentionally harmful.

6. Feedback

If you send ideas, bug reports, templates, or other feedback, you allow StudyTree to use that feedback to improve the product without obligation to compensate you. Feedback emails may receive support follow-up from acatnight@gmail.com.

7. Third-party services

StudyTree may connect to third-party services such as Discord for sign-in. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies. StudyTree is not responsible for third-party service availability or behavior.

8. Availability and changes

StudyTree may be updated, interrupted, rate limited, or unavailable from time to time. We may change features, limits, or these terms as the product evolves. When material updates are made, the last updated date will be revised.

9. Disclaimers

StudyTree is provided as is and is not a substitute for professional, educational, medical, legal, financial, or career advice. You are responsible for your own learning plans, decisions, and backups of important information.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, StudyTree will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or service interruption arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

You may stop using StudyTree at any time. We may suspend or restrict accounts that violate these terms, create risk, or abuse the service. Signed-in users can export data and delete accounts from the app; email acatnight@gmail.com for support.
